Homer Alton Mullet, 84, of Valparaiso, passed away on March 9, 2008 in Valparaiso.
October 3, 1923 – March 9, 2008 He was born October 3, 1923 in Walkerton, IN to Joseph and Effie (Geyer) Mullet, who both preceded him in death.
On November 26, 1944 he married Wanda Mae (Masterson). Homer worked as a General Foreman at Bethlehem Steel until his retirement. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso, Westville Masonic Lodge #192, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine of Michigan City, Order of the Eastern Star, and Farm Bureau.
Homer is survived by daughter, Jeanette (Mark) Morrison of Jeffersonville, IN; son, Joseph (Laurie) Mullet of Westville; sister, Lila Merrick of South Bend. He is also survived by grandchildren: Christina (Todd), Aaron (Missy), and Seth (Lindsey); and great grandchildren: Zachary, Cassandra, Tyler, Christian, and Rylei.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Carlos, Myron and Wilbur; and sisters: Helena and Beulah.
Funeral services for Homer will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso with Pastor Gretchen Seiler-Gibbs officiating.
Visitation will be held at Bartholomew Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Walkerton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Whispering Pines Alzheimer Unit (his home for two years) or the Westville Masonic Lodge #192.
